Perishables Jamaica Limited (PJL) is a Jamaican owned and operated company, incorporated in Jamaica in October 1980.

PJL manufactures herbal teas under the brand ‘Tops’ (16 flavours) and ‘Sipacupa Ital Jamaican’ (5 flavours). Sipacupa flavours include: Moringa, Neem, Guinea Hen Weed, Jamaican Vervain and Turmeric. Tops flavours are Cinnamon, Cinnamint, Gincin, Ginger mint, Ginger Lemongrass, Lemongrass, Sarsaparilla, Egyptian Peppermint, Classic Peppermint, Pep ‘O’ Mint, Sorrel & Ginger, Cullen Mint, Cerasee, Pimento and Bissy.

PJL distributes its products locally (i.e. in Jamaica) through CARI-MED Limited and internationally to the USA, Canada, United Kingdom and the Bahamas through a number of foreign distributors.

The organization also packages products for other brands namely: Jamaica Country Style (JCS), Caribbean Exotic Gourmet, Nature Fresh, Sonita, Trevita, Caribbean Dreams, Tropical Blends, Eden Gardens, PB Herbs Ocho Rios brand and Caribbean Sunshine. Additionally, the organization sells ground herbs and spices to Tetley Tea Company Jamaica Limited.

The organization has a 20-acre farm that produces some of the dried peppermint and fever grass used in its teas. Additional raw materials are sourced from various local farmers/suppliers/processors (over 400), and where they are unavailable locally, as a last resort, they are acquired from CARICOM and other overseas sources.

PJL employs sixteen (16) full time and fourteen (14) part time/seasonal employees.
